Here’s to you my icy home. I miss your frosty smile, and the cold comfort. You who loves with a snarl and sometimes a bite, you who kisses with smoky lips and sometimes a burn. My friend, my home. Who would’ve thought I’d miss your aspen and your maple? At first I was terrified of you, I feared you’d bury me under your snow and snuff my flicker with your wind, but you touched my heart and made me yours. I fell in love with your moods, your white, your brown, your orange, and your green. I learned to dance with the seasons for there is a time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to sow and a time to reap. You taught me no moment lasts forever, you taught me how to joy and how to hurt and many times we did both together. You were and are forever my friend.
